A native of Western North Carolina, Susan obtained a BFA in Interior Design, with a minor in Textiles, from East Carolina University. She worked for Lane Furniture as a Gallery Designer for accounts throughout the United States and Canada, and as a showroom designer for the High Point Markets. Her experience also includes Theatre Set Design, Floral Design and Photography Set Design. She is a member of The American Society of Interior Design and also took classes from the prestigious Derick Tickle at AB Tech, who was recruited from Great Britain to do the restoration of The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC.
Since 1991, Susan has worked as a freelance artist and designer,
specializing in creative faux finishes. Faux painting is a personalized
alternative to paint and wallpaper. Susan has the ability to create an
individual finish to enhance each room. Her extensive experience working
directly for clients and with Interior Designers has earned her the
reputation as a respected professional who is dependable and talented.
