Excited about this new piece. I searched for months to find the perfect frame. I wanted it to be a wide, black frame that would create a spotlight and make “Turquoise Topography” really pop off the wall. At 20 x 24 inches, the frame truly enhances the smaller encaustic and give it more importance. I ordered a professional grade spray paint in flat black to cover the brown frame and give a nice play between the sheen of silver in the piece against the flat frame. The encaustic is mounted directly onto a board to give it more depth. Definitely a statement piece!
