Newest mixed media piece “Blood Agate”. Taken from an agate found at the Spruce Pine Gem and Mineral Show, Spruce Pine, NC. Beautiful reds and blacks in this piece. I added hand cut glitter to add some interest. Multi layers of oil paint and epoxy resin. Difficult control of epoxy. One of my best!
New Commissioned Pieces
These are the latest commissioned pieces for the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. While small (6 x 6 and 5 x 7), these pieces have a large impact. They give a glimpse of the local mountain landscapes through the medium of Encaustics. They are “Blue Ridge Morning”, “Blue Ridge Evening”, “Blue Ridge Valley I” and “Blue Ridge Valley II”.
