Come out on April 7, 2016 from 5 – 9 to Cindy Saadeh Fine Art Gallery in downtown Kingsport, TN. I will be showing 18 Mixed Media and Encaustic pieces, many being seen for the first time. I have been concentrating on a new process that involves using epoxy resin and oil to create great depth. I have a series of Plume Agates in this technique. I have also produced a new 3-D piece taken from a Detroit Agate. Also know as Fordite, these cabochons are created from the layered automotive paint removed from old paint booth equipment. Each layer is baked to a rock hard finish. When cut and polished, they are beautiful layers of color. I love the vivid colors and abstract shapes of these pieces. I am planning a whole series of these abstracts in multiple colors. Stop by the gallery to see this and all my other works. They will be there the month of April.
